The 2015 program features topics which are relevant to beginning practitioners as well as experienced advisers who work in the area of estate planning and administration. As usual the seminar contains sessions on recent developments in federal and Louisiana law, professionalism and ethics. Other topics include tax and estate issues for same sex relationships, recent changes to corporate law, valuation, grantor trusts, and diminished capacity. Additionally, there are three sequential presentations that will deepen your knowledge by providing an overview of Louisiana successions and federal and gift tax, followed by a discussion of basis, and finally a session dealing with portability of the united credit under final treasury regulations.
