MLK Week for Peace: Day of Service

Join 500+ students from Tulane University, Xavier University, Loyola University, and University of New Orleans to answer Dr. King's question, "What are you doing for others?" by going out into the Greater New Orleans community and doing service for others.  Volunteers may also participate in a poverty simulation with local community members.

The Hall of Fame Commission of Loyola University New Orleans, The Alumni Association and the Department of Athletics and Wellness invite you to join us for the 2016 Hall of Fame Reception and Induction Ceremony on Saturday, January 23, 2016. The Hall of Fame Inductees will be introduced during the half time of the men's basketball game and formally inducted at the reception ceremony to follow.

The year 2016 marks the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare. Joining the worldwide celebration, Loyola Opera presents Roméo et Juliette, composer Charles Gounod's adaptation of the playwright's timeless tale of "star-crossed lovers." The performances, sung in French with English supertitles, will offer celebrated arias, passionate duets and stirring choruses, as well as one of the most famous sword fights in all of opera! Bill Fabris returns as stage director/choreographer, and Carol Rausch conducts.
