Get in shape “boot camp” style! Experience high-intensity, full-body workouts that target the major muscle groups of the upper & lower body, specifically designed to “make it rain” sweat! From circuit-style routines that jump-start cardio fitness, to creative muscle-toning exercises using dumbbells, exercise bands, or even the participant’s body weight, each class brings its own unique challenges. No two classes are the same! Students will work the quarter to improve cardiovascular stamina, core strength, & flexibility.

We're bringing the party to the pool! Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Soca and Cumbia all done in the water.
Have you wanted to try a dance workout like Zumba but were shy of how you might look or think you can't dance? Maybe you just don't know where to start your fitness journey or have been out of it for a while due to health issues.
This class is for you:
You’ll be using the properties of the water to whip yourself back into shape while having the most fun. (And no need to feel funny no mirrors here and body is partially submerged)
So what are you waiting for, Pull back out that bathing suit and see you in the shallow pool!

The quartet’s name honors Loyola University New Orleans President Emeritus James Carter S.J., Ph.D., an avid supporter of the arts, particularly of Loyola’s College of Music and Fine Arts. Performers include faculty members Rachel Jordan, violin; Bruce Owen, viola; Allen Nisbet, cello; and Amy Thiaville, violin.
