Workshop on Diffraction and Solid-State Determination

Time: 10 am to 5 pm

There will be a workshop on diffraction and solid-state structure determination
at Loyola May 31-June 3, 2017. Dr. Christina Hoffmann, Lead Scientist for the
TOPAZ single-crystal neutron diffraction instrument at Oak Ridge National Lab
will lead the workshop, Topics covered will include X-ray and neutron
diffraction of both single crystal and powder samples. Participants will use
ORNL programs to analyze diffraction patterns.

Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided to participants free of charge. All faculty
and students in the New Orleans area are welcome to take part in the workshop by
registering at least two weeks in advance.
