October is National Disability Awareness Month, and Loyola University New Orleans will host a series of events focused on creating awareness of the challenges posed by physical, emotional, and social disabilities. Disability Awareness Month is about promoting inclusion and sparking conversation about what more we can do for those with disabilities on our campus and in our city. Loyola is honored to host former Saint and New Orleans legend Steve Gleason as keynote speaker to address the community about his fight with ALS and his “No White Flags” approach.

Presentation by Steve Gleason, former New Orleans Saints player diagnosed with AL.
Steve’s story and mission have been told countless times throughout the media; the NFL Network, ESPN, HBO, ABC, CBS, and CNN have all been inspired to share Steve’s story in many ways. You can hear in person Steve’s powerful words of inspiration for people whose lives are similarly affected.
