The fourth annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Cross Country Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 15 at City Park in New Orleans.

This year's Music Therapy Symposium features expert music therapists Laurel Young, Penny Roberts and Lauren DiMaio. They will share their strategies in serving older adults. Topics include: grief, environmental enrichment and dementia care.

Effective representation, from client management to litigation, begins with effective communication. Join Kathleen Gasparian of Gasparian Spivey Immigration for a skills session focused on communicating with clients, courts, agencies, interpreters, translators, and the community across cultural differences and the barriers of language. Topics will include conducting initial consultations, breaking bad news to a client, litigating through an interpreter, and managing compassion fatigue.
*Note: This course satisfies skills competency requirement 3) Cultural Competence.
