Exhibition runs until 11/25. Paintings and photographs by Erica Lambertson and Akasha Rabut. Erica and Akasha met in 2009 shortly after both artists found themselves living in New Orleans. They connected artistically through a mutual love and obsession for light and color. Through the years they have collaborated informally on many projects and taken a strong interest in each others work. The concept for this show came from a mutual admiration for each others work and an interest in further exploring the connection that happens naturally through an artistic friendship. Alumni Association Graduation Awards

$1,000 award will be granted to one graduating senior from each Loyola college—College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, College of Law, College of Graduate and Professional Studies, and College of Music and Fine Arts. The $1,000 award will be applied toward tuition only and will be applied to recipient’s Spring 2019 tuition expenses.

Minimum eligibility requirements:

  • Candidate must have successfully applied for graduation in the 2018 – 2019 academic year or be classified as a senior in Fall 2018.
  • Candidate will be judged upon academic record.
  • Candidate must demonstrate financial need.

Application requirements:

  • A one-page cover letter outlining his/her experience at Loyola and need for this award (please include in the cover letter any factors that might uniquely qualify the candidate for this award).
  • A written resume listing: cumulative Loyola grade point average, expected graduation date and major, campus leadership, community service and civic activities, along with documented financial need.
  • Two letters of support are required; one must be from a Loyola faculty member. Both should outline the candidate’s campus leadership and potential for future leadership in his/her community and chosen profession.
  • Resume, cover letter, and letters of support must be emailed to the Office of Alumni Engaement at alumni.loyno.edu.

This course will introduce you to the steps and corresponding documentation necessary to form and operate a Louisiana business corporation and a Louisiana limited liability company. Documents analyzed include articles of incorporation, articles of organization, bylaws, operating agreements, and consent resolutions. Students will hone their skills on interviewing a client seeking entity formation assistance, drafting articles that contain information acceptable for filing, and identifying organizational document provisions that benefit different stakeholders.
