This two-day seminar offers topics relevant to beginning practitioners as well as experienced advisors who spend significant time in the world of appellate practice. Topics include: federal appeals, recusal in appellate and supreme courts, role of second chair on appeals, brief writing tips and good practices for oral arguments. Attend both days or one day and still get your ethics and professionalism credits out of the way!

The Continuing Legal Education Department at Loyola is excited to host this two-day seminar May 31-June 1, 2018. Speakers include, amongst others, Judges Franz Zibilich and Paul Bonin, Thomas Robichaux, and our very own Dean Madeleine Landrieu. The program is titled “Setting Precedents – 1st Annual Appellate Practice Seminar.” The program has been accredited for 12.5 hours of CLE, including 2.0 hours of ethics and 2.0 hours of professionalism. Approval is pending for 12.5 hours of specialization credit in the area of Appellate Practice.
