Participants completing this skills course will understand the basic procedural requirements for class actions, know how to spot and/or create certification problems; understand how to plan for a certification hearing; know how to identify, screen, and prepare or attack class representatives; and will participate in a problem-solving session in which fact situations are analyzed for certification criteria. The course will address both state and federal class actions.

Students and faculty interact, engage, and learn from Music Education Scholars-in-Residence in an environment for studying music teaching and learning. The Music Education Lecture Series is to enrich the intellectual and cultural life of students, faculty, and music teachers in the Greater New Orleans region, and community at large.

This year, Dr. Paynter-Paise from Moorehead State University,  Andrew J. Bower from  Dolores T. Aaron Academy, and others will present guest lectures during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Event is free and open to the public.
