This course will teach students to prepare for and conduct client interviews in the context of maritime law practice. Learn techniques and strategies for asking questions that build trust, solicit sensitive and vital information, and reflect confidence and authority on the subject matter. Students will also have the opportunity to hone their interviewing skills through simulation exercises based on scenarios involving Jones Act and the Longshore Harbor Workers' Compensation Act.
