This endowed scholarship is named for Dr. Norman Roussell, Loyola's first black administrator. The Gala, a fundraiser, is a celebration of Black Excellence!

The Black Student Union was organized on Loyola's campus in 1969 to provide a supportive facility for African-American students in the areas of academics, campus involvement, community and social development. Recognizing the additional need for student financial support, the BSU began fundraising in 1993 for an endowed scholarship fund.

For additional information please contact JaQuille Collins, BSU advisor, at jscollin@loyno.edu.
