10th Annual Students Peace Conference - "War Is Hell" Veterans' Panel

The university’s Tenth Annual Student Peace Conference is an opportunity for students and visitors to further community discussion about hope, renewal and global peace. Titled “Breaking Walls,” this year’s one-week event is expected to be the largest student peace conference ever held at this Jesuit, Catholic University.  The conference runs Tuesday, April 10 through Tuesday, April 17. All events will be held on Loyola’s main campus, 6363 St. Charles Ave. and are free and open to the public.

Andrea Castillo (Marine Corps veteran): “The Struggle of Life in the Marines for a Woman”

Kristen Richard, Wife of Iraq War veteran and nurse at women’s hospital: “Fighting the War at Home.”

Jamie McFarland (Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran): “A Combat Veteran’s Struggle to Put his Life Back Together.”

Judge Arthur Hunter (Section K, Orleans Parish Criminal Court): “What is Veteran Court?”

Loyola Keyboard Series: Dr. Ronald Chioldi Piano Recital

Dr. Ronald Chioldi, Professor of piano at Northeaster State University, co-author of the popular group-piano textbooks Keyboard Musicianship, and Keyboard Fundamentals, will play a recital on April 11 at 7:30pm, followed by a masterclass on April 12 at 12:30pm.
