MLK Commemorative Event

Time: 6 pm to 9 pm

Contact: Trimiko Melancon, Ph.D. · tmelanco@loyno.edu · 865-2278

Location: Miller Hall 114

This event commemorates the 51st anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination. In a mini-film festival, featuring the film "Not in My Neighborhood" followed by discussion, it engages the issues of social and spatial justice, gentrification, and other connections to MLK’s broad-ranging philosophies. Ultimately, it asks and explores,  “Where are we 51 years after King?”
