Panelists will discuss the legal and practical realities facing the homeless population in the New Orleans area with a specific focus on current issues related to providing housing and services to the homeless, the effectiveness of diversion programs in Misdemeanor Court, and the potential constitutional limits on government sweeps of homeless property. Practitioners from the community are also invited.
