Loyola Get Fit Pledge

Take the Loyola Get Fit Pledge this spring 2016 semester to make a commitment to a happier, healthier, more active you! The Get Fit pledge is a movement that begins in January and lasts all semester long. Find numerous ways in which you can participate in becoming more physically active. Whether you're a student, faculty, staff, or friend of the Loyola community, take this pledge to start your individual fitness journey today!

Step-n-Tone is a one hour class that covers all the components of a complete workout – cardio, strength training, balance and flexibility.  And the step makes it easy for all levels to work out together from beginner to expert.  No judging here - come out for some faith, fun and fitness with friends!

Body Pump

Time: 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm

If you're looking to build strength, get lean and toned and work all major muscles groups, then BodyPUMP is right for you! 

Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition (think 850-1100 reps a class!), BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned fitness professional, BodyPUMP will challenge you, and give you the confidence and encouragement to come back for more. You should expect a highly engaged instructor, great music, and scientifically proven moves and techniques that will make you wonder where one hour went. Join the Les Mills TR1BE, and come out for BodyPUMP!

Social Host Training

Time: 6 pm to 7:30 pm

Social Host Training is a workshop based risk management initiative provided for all student organizations who wish to host events with alcohol. The goal of Social Host Training is to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully manage an event with alcohol. Organizations requesting to host an on or off campus event with alcohol must have two members from the organization present at the training

Social Host Training will cover the following topics:

  • Event Risk Management & Safety
  • Identifying Risk
  • Event with Alcohol Guidelines
  • Event Registration Process
  • Strategies for Managing High Risk Drinking
  • Strategies for Handling Intoxicated Guests 
  • Signs of Alcohol Poisoning
  • Sexual Assault Prevention
  • Medical Amnesty/Good Samaritan Policy

As noted above, two organization members must be present for the entire training in order for an organization to host an event with alcohol on or off campus.

BollyX Cardio Dance Class
