Take Back the Night

Time: 5:45 am to 9 pm

Contact: Patricia Boyett · pbboyett@loyno.edu · 5048653082

Location: Horseshoe Parking Lot

Each October, Loyola University partners with universities and community partners across New Orleans to Take Back the Night. During this call to end sexual and gender based violence, marchers gather in the horseshoe outside of Marquette Hall on Loyola’s main campus to hear powerful stories from survivors of sexual violence and abuse and then proceed by a candlelight march to the Qatar Ballroom in the LBC on Tulane’s campus for a speak-out. The event is designed primarily to heighten awareness of sexual violence, to show our support for survivors, and to empower survivors. This year, the President of Loyola University New Orleans, Tania Tetlow will give the opening speech.
