Mississippi State University professor Matthew Hughey, Ph.D., will discuss his research on white identity development from his book, “White Bound: Nationalist, Antiracists, and Shared Meanings of Race." Hughey is a prolific scholar, specializing in race and the media, Black Greek organizations and racial identity. His lecture will be followed by an audience Q-and-A.
The event is sponsored by Loyola's African and African-American Studies interdisciplinary minor, the Center for Intercultural Understanding, the Department of Sociology and Student Affairs.
