Environmental Roundtable : Let's Talk Environment

Environmental Roundtables are facilitated discussions of important environmental issues, hosted by the Loyola University Environment Program. Facilitators include Environment Program Faculty and guest hosts.

Dr. Craig Hood, Director of the Environment Program, and Mr. Josh Fox, the Oscar nominated, Emmy-winning writer/director of How to Let Go of the World. They will facilitate a discussion entitled “Let’s Talk Environment”

They will be having an open discussion on topics concerning environmental and social justice.

Dr. Craig Hood was one of the founding faculty of the Environmental Studies Minor Program in 1989, and currently serves as Director of the Environment Program. His expertise is in concepts of evolution, ecology, and the relationship between form and function in plants and animals and his research focuses on ecological and evolutionary patterns and processes in diverse groups of organisms and ecosystems.

Josh Fox is best known as the Oscar-nominated, Emmy-winning writer/director of the award-winning films GASLAND, Parts I and II as well as his most recent film, How to Let Go of the World and Love All the Things Climate Can’t Change, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016 and won the Environmental Advocacy Award at the Washington DC Environmental Film Festival. Fox is internationally recognized as a spokesperson and leader on the issue of fracking and extreme energy development.
