This annual interfaith series promotes dialogue and understanding on topics of spirituality. This year, leaders from New Orleans' Jewish and Christian communities lead conversations about their spiritual traditions and address this year’s theme, “Spirituality in the City," from the perspective of life in New Orleans and southeast Louisiana. They have also identified books to accompany their presentations. These books are sold at the Catholic Book Store and at the monthly presentations.
First Tuesdays is co-sponsored by The Jesuit Church of the Immaculate Conception, Loyola Institute for Ministry, and The Catholic Book Store. All presentations begin at 12:30 and include a simple lunch that starts at 12:15. All are welcome. Admission is free. Parking is available at parking meters on the street as well as at the many downtown lots and garages, including two garages in the 100 block of O'Keefe Ave., one block from Baronne St. For more information, please call 504-529-1477.
Rev. Fred Luter, Jr., pastor of the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church will speak.
