To help its students and young alumni conquer the job search, the Loyola University New Orleans Career Development Center is hosting its second annual employment boot camp, EMPLOY the PACK. James Marshall Reilly—an entrepreneur, best-selling author, journalist and founder of New York City media firm, The GUILD Agency—is the newly announced keynote speaker for the Saturday, Jan. 25 conference.
The half-day, professional-caliber employment strategies seminar is available to students and young alumni for free. Featuring one-on-one consultations and on-site employment experts, the conference is set for the St. Charles Room in the Danna Student Center on Loyola’s main campus. EMPLOY the PACK: A Conference for Emerging Professionals will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Reilly’s best-selling book “Shake the World: It’s Not about Finding a Job, It’s about Creating a Life” features in-depth interviews with Tony Hsieh of Zappos, Doug Ulman of LIVESTRONG Foundation and Blake Mycoski of TOMS, along with many other top entrepreneurs, business leaders, philanthropists and social entrepreneurs. Reilly’s book unveils the similarities among some of the nation’s top leaders; he learned that despite their different fields, they are all using similar tools to seize opportunities and redefine success. He will teach EMPLOY the PACK conference attendees how to model those behaviors as a means to achieve and sustain success of their own.
The conference is open to all Loyola junior, senior, graduate students and young alumni, and will offer all participants dynamic solutions to launching your career.
