A Loyola University New Orleans free, public lecture features Archaeological Institute of America lecturer Ronald Marchese, Ph.D., who will discuss how new research on the ancient town of Plataiai—situated on the border of Athens and Thebes in Greece—is helping archaeologists and other experts reconstruct ancient small town life. The lecture is set for 8 p.m. in the Whitney Bank Presentation Room in Thomas Hall on Loyola's main campus. Free parking is available in the West Road garage.
