Fr. Alberto Munera, S.J. will present the history of Jesuit
Education in Latin America and its connection to social change and liberation
theology. He will also discuss the commitment to social responsibility that
exists in higher education and the theology that gives Jesuit education this
perspective.
Fr. Munera is a Professor of Theology and director of the PENSAR Institute at
the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia and is a member of the
Society of Jesus.
