12:30 pm to 1:30 pm
Laura Murphy, assistant professor of English at Loyno, wants to introduce you to a world that works silently and sits closely to ours.
With a brief lecture, Murphy will provide the basic facts about human trafficking and modern slavery in New Orleans and around the world. With a discussion to follow, students will learn about a new global abolitionist movement to eradicate slavery and how Loyola students can take part.
