Join the Young Alumni Pack and spend a few hours volunteering at Hollygrove Market & Farm. Volunteers will work with Hollygrove Mentor Farmer Macon Fry to prepare gardens for Spring. Responsibilities will include sifting composite, building beds and moving soil. Volunteers are asked to wear comfortable work clothes and tennis shoes. Volunteers are required to register in advance no later than Thursday, April 4.
The Hollygrove Market & Farm exists to increase access of fresh, local produce to residents of New Orleans. Hollygrove operates a weekly produce market, on-site urban farm, and community garden space. For more information about Hollygrove Market & Farm visit their website: http://hollygrovemarket.com/. If supplies are available volunteers may be able to take remaining produce home at the conclusion of their volunteer shift.
