Global warming, cancer, petrochemicals are those hyperobjects that put unbearable strains on our normal ways of reasoning. The man who coined that term, Rice University English professor Tim Morton, will give a lecture at Loyola University New Orleans based on his book reviewed by Newsweek this year, “Hyperobjects: Philosophy and Ecology after the End of the World.”

Morton, an author of many books including three on environmental philosophy, speaks throughout the world on hyperobjects. He urges us to reinvent how we think in order to comprehend today's world as it exists, the one we live in now, so we may act in more enlightened ways in order to sustain it.
