Environmental Roundtable: The Environment Program Across Disciplines at Loyola

Date: Thursday, October 5, 2017

Time: 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm

Contact: Kimberly Kahn · kjkahn@loyno.edu · 504-865-2599

Location: Monroe Hall 610

Environmental Roundtables are facilitated discussions of important environmental issues, hosted by the Loyola University Environment Program. Facilitators include Environment Program students, faculty and guest hosts.

How does engaging with the environment take shape across very different disciplines? And what might these approaches have in common and share?

Join a roundtable discussion with three of the newest members of Loyola’s Environment Program:

Dr. Lynn Brien (Geography), Dr. Phil Bucolo (Biology), and Dr. Joel MacClellan (Philosophy) will briefly present their backgrounds, share a personal story about their own environmental engagement, and end with what they do here at Loyola. Then they will engage the audience in a discussion.

Dr. Christopher Schaberg (English) will introduce the event and moderate the discussion.

A light lunch will be served.
