The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies would like to invite you this week to the panel:  “Publishing in Cuba: Past, Present & Future”. The panel will feature distinguished Cuban publishers, writers, and cultural workers who will address Cuban publishing practices and discuss the future of publishing on the island.

The event will be held on Wednesday, April 24th, 2013, at Tulane’s main campus uptown, in 100A Jones Hall (6801 Freret Street).

The event is free and open to the public. Reception will follow.

Moderated by: Mabel Cuesta (Matanzas, Cuba, 1976) Assistant Professor of U.S. Latino and Caribbean Literature, Department of Hispanic Studies, the University of Houston. 

Featured Speakers:
• Alfredo Zaldívar: Poet, author, editor, director
• Nicolás Hernandez Guillén: Author, scholar, publisher, and professor of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at the University of Havana
• Norberto Codina: Poet author, and editor.
