Bellwether Technology presents "Music Under the Oaks" in partnership with the Loyola University New Orleans College of Music & Fine Arts and WWNO. Bring your lawn chairs and join us for a special fall concert series to celebrate the new Audubon Park Conservancy. All concerts are free and open to the public and food and drink will be available to purchase.
The third concert in the series is set for Friday, Oct. 3 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Audubon Park Newman Bandstand and features Loyola Faculty Chamber Concert. The entertainment for the afternoon, the Ignatian Quartet, is the saxophone quartet in residence at Loyola. The group includes Tony Dagradi (Astral Project), Jason Mingledorff (Papa Gros Funk, Dr. John), Ray Moore (Brasilliance!) and John Reeks (Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra). The program consists of compositions and arrangements ranging from classical chamber music to jazz and avant-garde pieces.
The next and final concert in the series is set for Friday, Oct. 24 at 4:30 p.m. It features the Loyola Jazz Band.
