The Jesuit Social Research Institute invites Loyola faculty, staff and students to an Anti-racism Workshop scheduled for Feb. 7-8. The workshop, featuring co-facilitators from the Pax Christi USA Anti-Racism Team, aims to:
- Explore a faith-based understanding of anti-racism rooted in Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching;
- Introduce definitions of racism that will enable us individually and together to dismantle racism in our structures and culture;
- Present a critical analysis of the "powers" of racism; and
- Explore concrete ways that faculty, staff, and students can become more anti-racist and multi-cultural.
