"Ministry as Being Attentive to Mystery"
Being attentive to one's own spirituality, as well as the spirituality of one's co-workers and one's workplace, is integral to the effectiveness of one's ministry. This presentation will provide an overview of recent writings on "workplace" spirituality within the context of developments of spirituality and the spirituality for ministry.

Saturday Workshop
9AM-3PM, March 3

"Being Attentive to Mystery, Meaning and Movement within the Spiritual Care Ministry"
This workshop will continue where Friday left off and reflect more specifically on developments within spiritual care/chaplaincy ministry as part of "workplace" spirituality, as a profession and vocation often within an ecclesial context, and what the disciplines of noticing, nurturing, and celebrating the "sacred" means in this ministry.

  • Learn about chaplaincy as a career
  • CEUs available for members of the National Association of Catholic Chaplains
  • $25 registration fee for Saturday Workshop, includes lunch

Attendees will:

  • Explore more in depth how the spiritual care/chaplaincy ministry aids the fostering of spirituality in the workplace
  • Examine spiritual care/chaplaincy ministry both as a profession and a ministerial vocation within the ecclesial context
  • Reflect on the disciplines of noticing, nurturing, and celebrating the "sacred" as foundational to the ministry as it fosters spirituality in the workplace.

Presenter: David A. Lichter, D.Min., Executive Director of the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (http://www.nacc.org/), presents nationally on topics related to ministry and spirituality and teaches business ethics and non-western religions, as adjunct faculty member of Cardinal Stritch University's College of Business and Management in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
