Join the Women's Resource Center in a Brown Bag Talk with Loyola professor Rae Taylor, Ph. D. Taylor will speak about her work with domestic violence survivors and the need for advocacy in this community. She'll talk about the cycle of abuse and the reason victims stay with their abusers.
Taylor joined the Loyola faculty in the fall of 2009 after completing her Ph.D. at the University of Central Florida. Her doctoral dissertation involved examining pregnancy as a risk factor for lethal and non-lethal intimate partner violence. During her tenure as a doctoral student, she was the recipient of several teaching and research awards, including the prestigious University Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Teaching in 2008.
