Grad Fair

Time: 10 am to 6 pm

Location: St. Charles Room, 1st Floor, Danna Center

The 2019 Undergraduate/Graduate Grad Fair, which is a "one stop shop" for all graduation needs, will be held Monday and Tuesday, February 18 & 19 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. in the Danna Student Center, St. Charles Room.

Students who plan on graduating in May, 2019 are asked to attend the Grad Fair to order their cap and gown, a requirement for those participating in the commencement ceremony. Additionally, Grad Fair attendees will be able to verify the status of their graduation application with Student Records and meet with representatives from Student Finance and Scholarship and Financial Aid regarding account balances and required Perkins Loan and Stafford Loan exit interviews. Personalized graduation announcements, class rings, and formal graduation photographs will be available for purchase at the Grad Fair.

Graduates who are unable to attend the Grad Fair are asked to contact the bookstore after February 21 at (504) 865-3262 or SM8275@bncollege.com regarding regalia and announcements. Please provide them with your degree information, height, and weight.

Student Exhibition: Hive Mind

A combined effort between the current and the graduated, Hive Mind is a collaborative project for the Loyola University New Orleans alumni show. The artwork shown in the gallery is all created by Loyola University alumni and this year, curated by current students themselves as they learn the ins and outs of the curatorial arts. The students did much of the work themselves, from beginning to end, in Prof. Lee Deigaard’s “Curating: History and Practice.”

Father James Carter String Quartet

Father James Carter has always been an avid supporter of the arts, particularly of Loyola’s College of Music and Fine Arts. During his tenure as university president, Carter was an outspoken proponent of arts education, and demonstrated time and time again his commitment to Loyola’s unique tradition of excellence in this field. 
 
Members of the quartet include Amy Thiaville, Rachel Jordan, Bruce Owen, and David Rosen.
